Grade school

I gave you a conversation heart
But it only said “hug me”
I was hoping for a little more than that

But it made a conversation start
Acting so casually
Consciously being a bit of a brat

Then the conversation fell apart
You laughed too hard at me
Pinpointing what I'm well aware I lack

It all started with a sweet tart
Ending like a flip of a flash card
