Balking

Broken heart
Barely moving
Things I love
Don’t seem worth doing

Hard to steer
Everything mirthless
What was once worthwhile
Now seems worthless

Dried-out eyes
Blurry vision
Balking at the future
And every decision

Diving deep
In endless indecision
Drowning myself
And denouncing revision

Trying to forget
Not doing well
My fraudulent facade
Getting easier to tell

Losing life
Feeling frozen
Regretting the past
And the choices chosen

Searching for faith
A purpose to perceive
But love’s like religion
Their both make-believe

Mainly post poetry. Tends to lean towards the depressing side. Occasional attempts imploring my gallows humor. Likely an undiagnostic nihilists…
